Blue Haven Family Campground & Resort
This local gem is our favorite here at Plattsburgh RV Store. Located in Ellenburg Depot, there is a little something for everyone at Blue Haven. Some great summer activities include, kids crafts, hayrides, family movie nights, live music & DJs, fishing tournaments, and golf cart parades. Cumberland Bay State Park
Located right here in Plattsburgh, Cumberland Bay State Park is a great option for families wishing to enjoy all Lake Champlain has to offer. You can set up your camper and be on the beach in just a few short minutes at Cumberland Bay. It is truly a local hidden gem here in the Adirondacks. Visit their website by clicking here.
Meacham Lake State Campground
This local favorite is a great choice if you truly want to disconnect. It is every boodockers dream, with beautiful lakefront views and very little cell reception, you can truly reconnect with nature. Be sure to bring along the kayaks and take a paddle around the lake! Fish Creek Campground
Attention all boaters! Pack up the camper AND the boat and make your reservations for Fish Creek Pond! Tucked in the northwestern portion of the Adirondack State Park, this local favorite books up quickly every year. The majority of the sites in this campground are on the water and vary in size, accommodating anything from tents to 40′ campers. You can find more details or make reservations by clicking here.
Buck Pond Campground
Another NY state campground situated in the Adirondack State Park that many of our guests here at Plattsburgh RV Store rave about is Buck Pond Campground. This campground boasts a ton of very secluded campsites if you’re looking for some privacy. Many also have waterfront access. Take the whole family on a nature walk on one of the many footpaths at Buck Pond, or rent a kayak or rowboat and enjoy a day on the water! Reservations can be made here.
