Campground Guidelines

Transient Sites are as follows:
Site make up:
  • Grassy
  • We have both shaded and open sunny sites.
  • Most sites are back-on (we provide assistance).
Equipped with the following:
  • Fresh Water spigot
  • 30 amp RV Receptacle
  • Please refrain from using air conditioners.
  • No Electric water heaters.
  • During our busiest times you may be asked to operate as many appliances as possible on propane.
  • 4” septic line (only 6 sites without)
  • Picnic table, if requested
  • Fire Ring, if requested

 Check in and out:

  • Check in: 3:00 pm
  • Check out: 12 noon (stay all day if site is not rented)

Campground:

  • Cell reception is poor. Best signal is generally at the Campground Entrance.
  • WIFI is available at the Camp Store during store hours. Limited access: 1st come 1st serve.
  • Pay phone is available at the Art Shack near the Camp Store.
  • One camper plus one 8'x8' tent allowed per site
  • Register additional guests at the office.
  • Two cars per site, check at the office for additional parking.
  • Our families have grown to enjoy a comfortable and safe environment.
  • There is no charge if you are a guest of a seasonal camper unless we have to ask you to register.
  • All unregistered guests will be charged $5.00 per person.
  • The speed limit was established to provide maximum protection for those in the park, especially children on/or near the road.
  • The speed limit in the park is 5 MPH.
  • Speeding in the park will not be tolerated from campers, guests, or staff.
  • If you do see someone speeding, please get as much information as possible about the vehicle and/or driver License plate number, color, make of vehicle, etc.) and bring it to the office. Our staff will handle the problem to the best of our ability.
  • The Blue Haven pool is for the use of its campers and their guests only.
  • Pool hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (weather permitting).
  • The pool is open to everyone. However, children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • We request that everyone use the pool with respect and follow the directions & guidelines provided by the Lifeguards. They are there for your safety.
  • No harsh language or behavior will be tolerated.
  • No normal clothing such as cotton, Jeans, wool, etc. are allowed in the pool. These materials will clog the filtration system.
  • No food, glass, toys, diving, and/or pets are allowed in the pool area.
  • No smoking inside the pool area.
  • No flotation devices or Tubes allowed in the pool except for water wings for the little ones.
  • No parking on the side of the road near pool from the pool to the snack shack, or on the grass near the pool. there is additional parking at the office.
  • The pool is closed when either there is no lifeguard on duty, the Closed sign is up, and/or the gates are locked.
  • However the state rules do allow you to use the pool during office hours if no guard is on duty under the following conditions there must be TWO adults (18 years of age and older) at all times with each child. You can sign for the key and are responsible. If you do not wish to be responsible for anyone else's children that may want to swim you tell them they need to get adults to be with them or they can not swim.
  • Clotheslines cannot be left up permanently.
  • The laundromat is available during store hours; washers and dryers are available.
  • Rubbish area is located on Meadow just passed the South side bathhouse.
  • Recycling receptacles are located at the rubbish area.
  • Help keep the campground clean - do not leave rubbish on the side of the road.
  • Do Not leave trash in a can at your site overnight it draws the animals.
  • Do NOT put household trash in the trash cans at the bathhouses or in the common areas.
  • Only electric golf carts are allowed in the campground and must obey the speed limit.
  • Drivers must be 16 years of age or older to operate.
  • Carts are not to be loaded over their specified capacity.
  • Golf carts must be registered at the office and the numbers clearly posted. You must display the numbers on both sides of the cart, or front & back
  • All registered vehicles require a valid New York State Driver's License and all other vehicles require operator to 16 years of age or older.
  • All motorcycles should ridden directly to and from your site and entrance.
  • Motorized Scooters are not allowed in the Campground, EXCEPT for adults who require them for medical reasons.
  • Bicycle’s riders must wear helmet.
  • Do not park on empty sites as we may have the site rented for the weekend and it is time consuming for our staff to have to look for you not to mention our guest that is waiting to be put on site.
  • No fishing on the Car Bridges.
  • Fishing requires a New York State Fishing License. The office staff can help with details.
  • WE ARE ANIMAL LOVERS, and appreciate the fact that people recognize their pets to be an integral part of their family. However, we also recognize that many people are not animal lovers. So, our Insurance Carrier has required the establishment of safeguards to prevent any unfortunate incidents from occurring at Gunboat Rock Campsite, Inc., DBA Blue Haven Campground. In light of this, we have established and strictly enforce, the following policies:
  • NO PETS ARE ALLOWED, except under the following conditions for registered and seasonal campers:
    • Pets MUST be kept quiet, confined, tethered, cleaned up after & leashed at all times. This includes when you are on your site and when walking on the grounds.
    • Leashes MUST be no longer than 6 feet and walkers must be of sufficient stature to maintain control of the leash.
    • Pets are NOT to be left unattended, and are NOT allowed to annoy other campers.
    • Pets are NOT permitted in the following areas:
      • Bath / Shower House
      • Playground
      • Pool
      • Clubhouse
      • Camp Store
      • North Gazebo
      • Game Room
      • ANY Events
      • Putting and Chipping Greens
  • Absolutely NO AGGRESSIVE PETS OR PET BREEDS will be permitted in the campground. This includes pets that have previously bitten and/or attacked a person or another pet. Additionally, breeds of dogs by nature, history, or perceived to be aggressive, such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and Doberman Pincers, we ask that you please be EXTRA cautious with these breeds. These breeds are known to have an aggressive reputation, and this will ensure the safety and comfort of fellow campers.
  • Upon entering the campground a copy of a current rabies vaccination certificate MUST be submitted and filed with the office and the following affirmed.
  • Service Animals must also be registered at the office - see a member of our staff with any questions.
